Miller Family Trip

We had a great time on a Miller Family trip out west. We flew into Denver and then drove over to Boulder, CO where we met up with friends at the Tajikistan tea house. We walked around and enjoyed some nice alone time while our friends babysat Baikal. It was then an early (6 am) start to head into the mountains to Estes Park. We arrived at the famous Stanley Hotel, the site where Steven King wrote "The Shining". Matt enjoyed a great game of golf and increased his drive to 350 yards thanks to the 8,000 altitude. We headed over to Rocky Mountain National Park the next day and enjoyed two hikes with our friends Justin, Rob, and Shelly. The next day we attended Ben and Jackie's wedding. It was so much fun. Thankfully they had a cry room at the church, so Baikal and I could participate in the service without disrupting it. The next morning we enjoyed a big breakfast with friends and headed back to Atlanta. What a great trip!

Rocky Mountain High! The lake is still mostly frozen.

Shelly, Baikal, Matt, Rob, and Justin enjoying a nice meal provided by Safeway before our tough hikes.

Baikal had to wear her cold weather gear. The temperature was in the 70s, but with the wind it was a bit chilly in the shade.

Matt, Baikal and Justin on the hike. Yes, they are walking on snow. And yes, Justin is wearing shorts.
