Big girl bed

Baikal has a big girl bed in her room. Matt and I set it up so that she could get used to the idea of it. After two days, she was ready to try it out. I put her in it for her nap. After a few minutes, I checked in on her and she was out of the bed. I picked her up and put her back in the bed. I told her that she could either sleep in the bed or in her crib. She said that she wanted to sleep in her bed, so I tucked her in again and walked out the door. One hour later, I came in to the room. She was asleep so I took this picture. Can you spot her among all of the pillows and stuffed animals?

Around the house

It is finally starting to get warmer here. The snow was great, but it was really cutting into our outside playtime. Here is Rybolt dressed up for the outdoors. Baikal let me put a rubber band in her hair today. She kept it like that for a full two hours, the longest yet.

Rybolt's six week check up

Rybolt had his six week check up today. His father is so proud of him! He weighed in at 12 lbs which puts him in the 95% for weight. He is also in the 95% for height.

Breakfast

We had a nice MLK holiday. Matt had the day off and we met up with some friends for breakfast. Paul and Baikal enjoyed their pancakes, but enjoyed running around afterwards even more. Picture courtesy of Beth Frilingos.

Snow

It snowed again today! Baikal and I went for a walk. We ran into our friends, the York-Simmons. They were bringing us over some gingerbread muffins. Delicious!

It snowed today. We went out and played for a bit until we all got too cold. I tried to get a picture of Rybolt while I was holding him.

I am a mother of two! I can't believe it!

Rybolt turns one!

One month that is! People have asked me what are some of the differences between Baikal and Rybolt (other than gender of course). Here are just a few. Baikal liked to arch her back and Rybolt likes to punch his arms. Baikal had a head full of dark hair and Rybolt has a much thinner hairline. Baikal liked to have her hands make the number one and Rybolt likes to keep his fists clenched. This is what they have in common: they are both the cutest babies in the world!
