I wonder if Rybolt is going to go through the magic phase that some boys go through. My brother spent a good bit of his allowance on fake decks of cards, magic rings, and other tricks to dazzle his audience. Rybolt has just mastered his first trick: transitioning one object from one hand to another. If I look into his eyes, it is almost as if he is saying, "And watch now, as I take this blue teething ring and carefully move it to my other hand... Voila!"
