Happy Birthday Matt!

Matt turned 33 yesterday and we celebrated with a delicious dinner and cake! His parents came down for the event. Baikal and Rybolt loved singing "Happy Birthday" and helping to blow out the candle. Matt is getting better and better with age... like a fine cheese! We love you Matt!!! Thanks for a great year and we look forward to many more!!!

Quiet time: A series

Every day from 2:00 to 3:00 the kids have quiet time. What do they do during this time? Here is a sample.

Shave and a haircut...

I gave Rybolt his first haircut. He did not like it. Afterwards, he wanted to put Baikal's temporary purple hair die in his hair. That made him happy.

Too funny

Baikal has started to really pay attention to what I say. *GULP* In fact, I was having a recent phone conversation with a friend and I used the phrase, "I don't want to rock the boat." When I was finished with my phone call Baikal said to me, "Mom, you are not IN a boat." And then today a teacher asked me, "Are you too?" (as in are you substitute teaching also). To which Baikal replied, "No. She is 34."
I guess we know who will play the straight man in our traveling comedy act...
