We had a great time at Mary's Goat Farm. Baikal really liked taking pictures of the goats. Some of her pictures were the best from the day. Rybolt liked the dog that lived on the farm. My favorite was a tie between the nature walk and the cheese tasting. We left with some goat cheese and dirty shoes. It was a great trip!

Such a dazzling coat of many colors...
And when Joseph tried it on
He knew his sheepskin days were gone
Here are some pictures of my most recent project: The Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmermann. This one is sized at a 2T and for my son. I started knitting this jacket around the anniversary of my grandmother's death. It wasn't intentional, but I couldn't help but to think of her while doing it. She was an amazing knitter and taught me how to knit. I wondered if she had ever tried this pattern, since it was most popular in the 60's. It is wonderful how something as simple as knitting or baking can be passed on from grandparent or parent to child. I wonder what things I'll pass on to my children and grandchildren.

Easter in Charleston part 2
After a morning at the beach, we headed over to meet friends at the Palmetto County Park. We packed a picnic and sunscreen. This is the same park that my brother and I used to work at when we were teenagers. It hasn't changed much. The kids loved climbing up the observation tower and running through the fields. Unfortunately the playground was closed for repair. The kids didn't seem to mind though!

Easter in Charleston part 1
We had back to back travel weeks here at the Miller house! This past weekend was Easter and we headed down to Charleston to see friends and family. We arrived late Thursday and woke up on Friday to find it a great day to get breakfast and then hit the beach! Rybolt took one look at the water and wanted to go straight in. Baikal was more interested in playing with the sand and running from the surf.
