We had a great weekend in Gatlinburg with Grand Poobah. We got together for his 60th surprise party. What fun! I like the picture of him blowing out his birthday candles. He is moving so fast, the camera can't catch him. Pretty quick for an old man!

Rybolt finds feet, but gravity still enigma
To my loyal readers...
I have not been blogging and I know that my loyal readers are hungry for more. I have kept you waiting due to various reasons. Most importantly that we are in the process of potty training, which means that at least one of my children is naked at any given time. I hope you will accept my apology when you learn that May will be blog-a-day month. Stay tuned for exciting topics such as, "Gaming theory applied to potty training" and "Organizational schematics-every new mother's guide on how to organize your future stuff"... Salivating yet?

Rybolt up close
Spring Break
This week is spring break for schools and that includes Baikal's preschool. It was a nice to have a change, but I will be happy to get back to the usual routine next week. I had Baikal's two year portrait taken. Photos to come. She was not interested in smiling, so most of the pictures are of her looking annoyed. She perked up once I gave her a lollipop. We also were able to have a park play date with friends this week. Here are some of the pictures.

Rybolt is four months
Rybolt is now four months old! He is really into rolling over. When placed on his back to sleep he pops right over to his tummy. He also has no interest at all in a pacifier. He prefers to put his whole hand in his mouth. He is a joy at this age. I figure I have at least one more month until he starts teething.
Testing twos...

She wore a red dress
I can now have a conversation with Baikal. It has taken two years and three months, but we are actually able to have a conversation. Of course, the topic is sometimes random and the words are sometimes difficult to discern, but it is a conversation none the less! Last night after tucking her in I said, "Good night." She replied, "Good night. I will miss you mommy." So sweet!!! Her vocabulary is expanding at an exponential rate. She said this today during snack time, "I have to get one mommy because I have a problem." I have no clue what she was referring to. Here is a picture that I took of her at church. I asked her to smile.
